CUC annually hosts a Contractor/Subcontractor Health, Safety & Environment Workshop focusing on the environment, health and safety and what workers should know and be aware of when working on or near any CUC equipment.
The annual workshop normally takes place in June or July each year and a number of local and overseas safety specialists and PPE vendors are invited to deliver presentations covering a variety of environment, health and safety-related topics.
This year’s conference took place on July 26th and covered topics such as: unforeseen risks, heat stress, safety footwear and PPE, contractor expectations, hurricane preparedness, sustainable/renewable energy and chemical handling/spill prevention.
CUC will be looking to host two shorter workshops during the remainder of 2024 with contractors to help continually improve health, safety and environmental performance. Keep an eye out for details soon or e-mail ehsmail@cuc.ky if you are interested in attending.
